Nestlé Fiji Launches New Dance Contest

Nestlé Fiji has launched an exciting new dance contest on September 29 – NESCAFÉ® MAKE YOUR MOVE.
This is the opportunity for young Fijians to express their artistic skills and showcase their passion for any dance styles, on a national platform.
NESCAFÉ® MAKE YOUR MOVE is a dance competition opened to any residents of Fiji aged 18 years and over who are non-professional dance artists.
This then opens the door to any individuals who do not command a fee for professional dancing and those who have not participated in professional dance shows.
There will be three steps of selection: audition November 5, followed by the Semi-Finale on November 10 to finish by the Grand Finale on December 3, at Albert Park, Suva.
The show will then be delayed broadcasted on FBCTV, programme date to be confirmed.
The NESCAFÉ Team wants to encourage young Fijians to start living their dreams. Along the adventure, contestants will be offered several sessions of rehearsals.
Their performance will be broadcasted on TV and on NESCAFÉ Fiji Facebook page.
So, we can all expect an amazing show, for the Grande Finale, on December 3 at Albert Park. The show will be free, but can only welcome approximately 1200 seating at the grand stand. So, be early!
How to enter
To enter, individuals will need to sign up to an audition on November 5, at FBC Studio, 69 Gladstone Road, Suva.
Entry is also possible via NESCAFÉ Fiji Facebook page where an audition video (no longer than 60 seconds) has to be uploaded prior to 5pm on November 5.
The Jury will choose up to 12 semi-finalists (“Semi-Finalists”) who will attend the Semi-Finals November 10 at Fiji Broadcasting Studio, 69 Gladstone Road, Suva Fiji.
At the Semi-Finals, the Promoter will provide the Semi-Finalists with a list of songs. The Semi-Finalists must choose a song from that list and perform a dance for up to two minutes.
The Promoter will judge their performance to determine up to 6 finalists (“Finalists”).
All Finalists will be invited to a finale event on December 3 at Albert Park from 6.30pm by the Promoter to perform from which a final winner and runner up will be declared.
With this event, the NESCAFÉ Team recognises that youth today are on a journey to embrace the Pacific culture through dance in their own unique way.
It sees the opportunity to showcase Fiji on a wider international platform through their artistic abilities.
