Tour Managers kick-started their India appreciation tour visiting agents in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai in recognition of its partners efforts in promoting and selling Fiji in the market place.

The events were also coordinated to connect with agents on a personal level and ensure that Fiji continued to be pushed out to the right target market segments in India.

Accompanying Tour Managers managing director Damend Gounder were Tourism Fiji Regional director India Pranav Kapadia, Tourism Fiji India Marketing representative Vaijayanthi Kari and Mana Island Resort & Spa Sales manager Abdul Kalaam.

The first appreciation cocktail event was held in Mumbai where agents were encouraged to relax and unwind after a hard day at the office.

Fijian partners were present to receive the agents and connect with them in a bid to better understand the Indian market dynamics.

They quickly update themselves on what the latest travel trends were for the outbound market in India while sharing experiences with agents to assist in their understanding of Fiji.

The visit by Fijian partners and Tourism Fiji is well-placed in terms of timing as online and offline Co-op campaign activities initiated by Tour Managers and Fiji Airways will become live soon.

These co-op activities are in close collaboration with TUI India and SOTC India which are two of the largest wholesalers for outbound travel in India.

This co-op campaign will be for three months from September to the end of November targeting to increase traffic for the Fiji Airways Singapore route and boost arrivals from India.

Mr Gounder commended Tourism Fiji and Fiji Airways for partnering with a local Inbound Tour Operator and consistently pushing the destination message across that Fiji is “where happiness finds you”.

He also stated that because of strong support from partners such as Mana Island Resort & Spa, Tour Managers has continued to pursue opportunities in emerging markets such as India, Singapore and Malaysia.

The appreciation tour of India will end on the first week of October.
