Speedster Simon Wise scored a hat-trick as the Fiji Residents beat NRL Affilated States 26-18 in a epic clash at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka last night.
The Joe Rabele-coached side scored five tries to three under chilly and windy condition on the Coral Coast.
Wise and Ilaitia Volavola led the onslaught as the Residents led 20-4 lead at halftime.
The visitors scored three tries and a conversion to close the gap 20-18.
But in 79th minute Pio Seci scored under the posts after a good orchestrated move.
Rabele saluted the players after the final whistle.
“I am happy with the victory. I told the boys to keep their cool.”
