Telecom Fijian Warriors head coach Senirusi Seruvakula says the onus is on senior players to play the lead role during the  2016 Americas Pacific Challenge in Uruguay next week.

Veteran Nadroga captain Rupeni Nasiga will captain the team assisted by Eroni Vasiteri, Nemani Nagusa,Eremasi Radrodro and Henry Seniloli.

“Nasiga comes in with a lot of experience having played for provincial champion Nadroga and also as a former Flying Fijians,” Seruvakula said.

“We have faith in him that he will be able to deliver.

“The boys have a lot of respect for him in camp and during training and Vasiteri, Nagusa, Radrodro and Seniloli will definitely provide a good assist.

“Nagusa, as a former Warriors captain, will definitely be an added boost as he will lead the pack alongside Radrodro while Seniloli will be in charge of the backline.”

The Warriors will be hosted at a farewell service at the Wesley Church (Butt Street) today before leaving for Nadi.

They will fly to Uruguay tomorrow.

The team completed their preparation and Seruvakula is adamant of a positive result.

“We have been working hard on our game pattern and strategies and we look forward to play some high intensity game,” Seruvakula said.

The team play USA Select on October 9 at 5:30pm, Samoa A on October 13 at 3:30pm and Argentina XV on October 17 at 7:30pm.
