The Short Course Swimming Grand Prix Three will be completed next week.

This was due to a mechanical fault on the swimming pool water pump at the Nadi Sports and Social Club yesterday.

Fiji Swimming president Ben Rova said it was just unfortunate.

“It was not actually doing what it was supposed to do,” Rova said.

“Because of that it was decided that it was better to call off the competition.”

Rova said the competition will resume next weekend with eastern clubs to meet in Suva while western swimmers will meet at the same venue.

Nadi Sports and Social Club president Mike Jamieson said they should rectify the problem on Monday.

“It is a major problem as it is to do with the connection to the sand filter that has been damaged and we came to know about it on Thursday,” he said.
