Bua beat Seaqaqa 2-0 in the Premier division Plate final of the Vanua Levu Muslim  Inter-District  Championship at Subrail Park in Labasa yesterday.

What happened?

Bua striker Mohammed Taslim was the man of the hour after he scored both goals.

He drew first blood in the 11th minute.

Halftime: Bua 1-0 Seaqaqa.

Taslim put the final nail on the Seaqaqa coffin within a minute of the second half. The Seaqaqa boys fought long and hard but to no avail.

Fulltime: Bua 2 – 0 Seaqaqa

The Bua coach Mohammed Rashid:

“This is our best performance and we look forward to next year,

“We entered with the hope to win the Cup final but maybe it was not meant to happen today. But we will come back stronger next year. I am so happy and I thank the boys for a job well done.”

Seaqaqa Coach Kaushik Lal:

“Most of the players are students but they played a good game. We will go back home, train and prepare for next year.”
