Three ordered medical attention after they allege Police brutality.

Four men allegedly involved in a carjack incident at Kashmir, Lautoka, two weeks ago have been remanded in custody to appear in the High Court in Lautoka.

Are Amae, 33, Jemesa Vakacegu, 19, and Maika Tovagone, 20, all of Tacirua in Suva, and Tomasi Qaniuci, 25, of Ravouvou Street in Lautoka appeared yesterday before Magistrate Raramasi Salakubou at the Lautoka Magistrates Court.

All are separately charged with one count of aggravated robbery and three counts of theft each.

On the count of aggravated robbery, they are charged with stealing Imitiaz Shaukat Ali’s vehicle, worth $115,000 during the alleged carjacking.

On the three counts of theft, they are charged with stealing $1830 worth of jewellery, a mobile phone and other assorted items.

Amae, Vakacegu and Tovagone were ordered by Magistrate Salakubou to be medically examined after they alleged Police brutality.

The case has been adjourned to October 14 for mention.
