Local professionals will be rubbing shoulders with top golfers at the Fiji International at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course tomorrow.

This includes Lautoka lawyer, Vikrant Chandra who will be making his debut at the annual premier event with Nadi businessman Abid Hussein, Viliame Suguturaga and Waisake Vati.

“This is my first as I missed the cut in the past,” Chandra said.

“I can’t wait to be part of the event of this magnitude at home.”

The 27-year-old turned professional in 2013.

Meanwhile, Hussein, who turned professional few years ago, returned to the amateur ranks due to lack of professional competition in the country.

Waidradra, Serua, native Vati will also be making his debut.

The 40-year-old knows the competition will be tough.

“I’m looking forward to teeing off with the best in the business,” he said.
