Preparations Underway For Another TOPEX

Preparations are underway for yet another successful Top Executives (TOPEX) conference this year organised by the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation (FCEF).
The event will be held at the Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa on Denarau Island on October 14 and 15.
FCEF President, Himen Chandra, said the preparations for organising the event was going according to plan.
“We should wrap up these preparations in the coming week (logistics and administrations),” he said.
Intended for the executives of companies, already FCEF has registered 90 per cent of their target number.
Mr Chandra said: “We have limited spaces available so those who still wish to register soon.
“We have had a very good and positive response and this reflects on the success we have at past year’s conference.
“We would like to encourage executives to register for TOPEX as this is a forum specifically for executives to come together, network and discuss issues of national interest pertaining to the private sector.”
The speakers are a mix of local and international personnel who are renowned in their own areas of expertise.
The programme
Mr Chandra emphasised there are a lot of hot topics to be discussed that will interest executives with the current business climate.
“We have a good line of credible local and international speakers talking from their experiences and perspectives,” he said.
Mr Chandra said each year they try to take TOPEX to another level.
“This year we want to make it better than last year. As usual we encourage private and public sector partnerships during the cause of the Conference,” he said.
In terms of most looked-forward to session, Mr Chandra said this would be Session 2.
“The Session “Sustainability and Climate Resilience” is directly related to the theme of the conference which is “Expanding the Possibilities: A Sustainable and Resilient Nation”.
The other session Mr Chandra said to look out for is the tripartite panel session on Day 2 of TOPEX on “Labour Relations in Fiji and the Way Forward”,” he said.
