Star Defender Changes His Mind

Reliable defender Jale Dreloa has decided to stay on with Suva football for the new season.
The former Vodafone Fijian Under-20 skipper initially wanted a transfer to Labasa but later decided against it after consultation with the Suva officials.
This was confirmed by Suva Football Association president, Mahen Prasad, as Dreloa is set to play for the Finance Pacific Suva side in tonight’s Courts Inter District pool opening clash against Propeller Shaft Services Limited’s Labasa outfit.
“Dreloa has already withdrawn his transfer application,” Prasad said.
As this year’s IDC host, Suva coach Gurjit Singh is looking at pairing stylish striker Setareki Hughes with Babasiga Lions import, Ravinesh Karan Singh to thrill their fans at the ANZ Stadium.
“Ravinesh is the one of our player sfor Suva this season and we are looking forward to his contribution in this IDC,” Prasad added.
The Capital City side are in Group 1 alongside Labasa, Singh’s Rental Lautoka and Nadroga while reigning champions Ba have been seeded in Pool B with, Rewa, Jack’s Nadi and National Hire Dreketi.
“We are definitely going in the competition leaving no stone unturned.
“We have a very strong side and our players are all confident,” Prasad added.
