Fiji Volleyball Host World Qualifier

Fiji will host the first round of the Oceania Men’s World Volleyball qualifier for the 2018 World Championship.

The event will be staged at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on November 24-29.

Fiji Volleyball Federation president Elesi Ketedromo said this is a huge opportunity for the sport of volleyball in the country.

“From the successful hosting of the Oceania meet in May, we are again fortunate to have the confidence of the Oceania committee to host the first men’s qualifying rounds for the Ocean region,”Ketedromo said.

“This is huge in terms of volleyball development and a huge step-up for the organising committee to provide the best for this world event.”

The Fijian men will need to beat New Zealand and Tonga in round one of qualification to progress into the second round. The Fijian women have already qualified to round two of the Oceania qualification.
