Kamil College of Ba are on track to defend the Courts Inter District Championship’s Secondary Schools Under-19 title after thrashing Nadi Muslim College 3-0 at Bidesi Park, Suva yesterday.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday coach Azam Ali said the win was a good start for them.

“Our defence was quite good but our finishing was not up to par,” he said.

“I need to sharpen this so we could score more goals. So hopefully that will improve as we go along in the tournament.”

Ali said they are going to have a tough game today against Vashist Muni College of Navua.

“We are positive that we will retain the Cup which we have won for the last two consecutive years.”

NMC coach Nadeem Mohammed said they would go back and assess their performance.

“This was our first game and for the first time this year it was a big challenge for our boys to play 90-minute football,” he added.
