Ba 1(Sitiveni Cavuilagi)

What happened: Defending champions Ba finished on top of the table in Group B after securing a 1-1 draw with pool runners-up Nadi at the ANZ Stadium, Suva last night.

Both teams have secured their places in the semi-final tomorrow.

The jetsetters continued to pressure the ‘Men in Black’ in the first 45 minutes which saw Rusiate Matererega scoring,  Nadi led 1-0 at halftime.

Ba regrouped in the second half as they lifted the tempo. They also strengthened  their defence to spoil Nadi’s attacking game. Ba’s Sitiveni Cavuilagi scored the equaliser from a corner kick.

Big Play: Both sides played a well structured game and were ruthless in defence.

Star Turn:  The “Men in Black’ regrouped well and came out fighting in the second half.

Comments; Nadi coach Joseph Nand looks forward to the semi-final clash tomorrow.

“We did not reach the semi-final of the INKK Mobile Battle of the Giants but now qualifying for the semi-final is a huge achievement for us.”
