Fiji Bikes Organises A Ride-a-Thon Tomorrow

The Fiji Bikes will have a Ride-a-Thon this Sunday to help raise funds for Life Line Fiji.
Fiji Bikes interim President, Amish Patel, said they were approached by Life Line Fiji to carry out a Ride-a-Thon to raise funds.
“The bikers feel it is for a worthy cause so we agreed to assist,” he said.
Mr Patel said they are looking at around 50 bikes to participate in the event.
There will be two groups of bikers. One group will travel from Nadi to Beach House and the other will travel from Suva to Beach House – both expected to depart around 7am.
About the group
Fiji Motorcycle Association also known as ‘FIJI BIKES’ is in the forming at this stage and they had their first meet in Denarau in August this year.
Mr Patel was nominated as interim President looking after the Western sector riders assisted Jason Bates and Raiyaz Sahu Khan.
Biker Rodney Fong, with the assistance of Francis Raman and Sanjai Kumar, look after the Southern sector riders.
Minister for Industry, Trade and Tourism, Faiyaz Siddiq Koya, has been named as their patron.
Mr Fong and Mr Patel are the two division in-charge.
Mr Patel confirmed they expect their annual general meeting to happen soon.
He emphasised also most bike groups around the world are known for the wrong reasons.
“We are forming this group purely as a riding group and for event’s support to such worthwhile deeds,” Mr Patel said.
The riding group would also likes to acknowledge LTA, Fiji Police, Jacks of Fiji, Penrite Oils, Weslec, Port Denarau Centre Management and Hard Rock Café for their initial support and contributions.
