Propeller Shaft Services Labasa will play Jack’s Nadi in the first semifinal at 3pm while Ba play Singh’s Rental Lautoka in the second semifinal at 5pm in the Courts Inter-District Championship on Sunday.

After a heated affair in the pool games, the four teams survived in the last round of pool games last night.

Out of the four teams Lautoka are the favourite after bundling Pacific Finance Suva with a 1-0 win following a Peni Finau spectacular shot a few minutes before fulltime.

Lautoka needed the win to qualify and Finau did it in style giving Suva goalkeeper Tevita Koroi no chance at all.

A jubilant Lautoka head coach Kamal Swamy said they are ready to win the IDC title.

“Lautoka proved we can deliver during difficult times,”Swamy said.

But the side will face the mammoth task as they are facing the defending champions Ba.

Ba topped Group B with 5 points and are going in as the best attacking side having scored six goals so far out of the four teams.

Ba coach Imdad Ali said they are looking forward for the semifinals.

Labasa on the other hand are confident of a good outing.

The Lions roared pass their opponents in the pool games and are favourites to win after coming through unbeaten.

Labasa coach Ronil Lal said they are taking one game at a time.

Nadi on the other hand with their star strikers Rusiate Matererega, Napolioni Qasevakatini and Anish Khem are in top form.

The Jettsetters are the most wounded side in the IDC having lost three consecutive finals.

The final is on Monday at 4pm.
