Dux Ane Reflects On Late Father’s Teachings

Ane Daulato could not hold back tears when she was named dux of Christian Mission Fellowship Secondary School on Friday during the school’s annual prize giving ceremony.
The 15-year-old dedicates her success to her father who had died in August last year.
“I miss my dad so much. He would have been so proud with my achievements today,” she said.
“My dad had always been my inspiration and always guided me with my education.”
She recalls how her late father would always remind her to acknowledge God for everything he has done for the family.
She also spoke highly of her mother.
“My mother has worked really hard to support me and my three siblings. She has always encouraged and guided me whenever I was not sure what to do in my life,” she said.
Ane also thanked her subject teachers for their contribution.
She was also presented the award for best all rounder, leadership, first prize, 100 per cent attendance and scoring the overall highest marks in maths, social science, commercial studies, office technology and agriculture science.
“The competition was tough, but I worked really hard to achieve my goals. I feel so happy and proud with my achievements,” she said.
Ane said her mother wanted her to join Jai Narayan College (JNC) next year, but she wants to continue her secondary education at the Christian Mission Fellowship Secondary School.
“I also scored overall highest last year and I will continue to make everyone proud,” she said.
“I want to become a doctor and I will work really hard to and make my family proud,” she said.
