Koya Visits Tots, Staff In Hospital

Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands and Mineral Resources Faiyaz Koya brought a boxful of surprises to the delight of the children admitted at the Labasa Hospital.
The box full of story books, toys, diapers and the likes brought smiles to the faces of the little ones.
The parents of two-year-old heart pneumonia patient Akil Goundar showed gratitude for the Government’s initiative.
“We are fortunate to have a Minister come visit our children who are in the hospital on Fiji Day,” mother Nileshni Raj said.
“It is not every day that we celebrate Fiji Day and his (Mr Koya’s) visit today means a lot to us and I believe for other parents here whose children are admitted.”
Six year-old Inoke Kuboutawa could not hide his excitement when Mr Koya approached his bed with his entourage.
Inoke, who was lying down, sat up and reached out to Mr Koya to shake his hand with a big smile on his face.
His father, Mesake Bese said it was these kinds of gestures that brought happiness to the children who were admitted.
