Taniela Wants To Be An Aircraft Engineer

Fourteen-year-old Taniela Benaca wants to study aircraft engineering after he completes his secondary school education.
“I love to read books about airplanes and I want to learn more about them,” he said.
The Year Nine student of Christian Mission Fellowship Secondary School was presented an award for scoring the overall highest in the Year Nine level.
He was presented the award during their school’s annual prizegiving ceremony on Friday.
“I feel so happy and proud after getting this award,” he said.
“I did not expect to score overall highest in the Year Nine level because the competition was really tough.”
Taniela was also awarded the first prize, 100 per cent attendance prize, and scoring the highest mark in commercial studies, Fijian, office technology subjects and scripture.
“I am so thankful to my parents for their support. They both are teachers. My parents are always there for me when it comes to my education,” he said.
Taniela is the eldest of four children in his family and has been an inspiration to his younger siblings.
“I have always been scoring good marks in my examinations and coming first,” he said.
“My dream is to make my parents feel proud of me and I will work hard to score the highest mark at every level.”
