The case of two more men allegedly involved in a carjacking incident at Lautoka will be transferred to Lautoka High Court tomorrow.

Joeli Nukunawa, 26,  unemployed, and Emosi Baleidrokadroka, 22, a market vendor, appeared before magistrate Wickrama Sena at the Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday.

Both are separately charged with one count of aggravated robbery and three counts of theft.

Police Prosecutor, Arveen Kumar, told the court that the charges for both were indictable offences.

On the count of aggravated robbery, they are charged with stealing Imitiaz Shaukat Ali’s vehicle, worth $115,000 during the carjacking at Kashmir in Lautoka.On the three counts of theft, they are charged with stealing $1830 worth of jewellery, a mobile phone and other assorted items.

Earlier on, five accused appeared at Lautoka Magistrate Court for the same and they are to appear in the Lautoka High Court on Friday.

This now brings to seven the number of people Police have arrested so far in regards to the incident that occurred on September 22.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said: “the hunt for the eighth suspect continues.” Arishma Devi-Narayan
