Yesterday was a proud moment for Year 12 student, Eugene Kado. He scooped the Dux and Outstanding Sports Personality awards at the Marist Brothers High School annual prizegiving ceremony at Lambert Hall in Suva yesterday.

“Everyday I try to do my best to better myself in what I do.

“I was only aiming to do my best in all my subjects,” the 18-year-old said.

Mr Kado also received prizes for scoring highest in Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He was also awarded the Best Science Student and with six gold medals from the Fiji National Secondary Schools Swimming Championship, the Best Swimming Award, and the prize for participating in the Team Mathematics Competition.
