New Library Boosts Children’s Learning Mode

Students of Bulileka Sanatan Dharm Primary School can now enjoy the same privileges as that of urban schools after their newly-furnished and restocked library was opened yesterday.
This was after the Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts Mahendra Reddy officially opened it yesterday.
School manager Jai Narayan said for two years the school collected what was remaining of its education grant to build the $45,000-worth building.
“The school had a small library accommodating students from Year One to Year Six,” Mr Narayan said.
“When the school had Year Seven and Eight in 2014, we saw there was need to have a modern and fully-equipped library.
“I am so happy now that our 337 students and 18 teachers will have the same privilege like urban school access to library.”
Mr Reddy said: “I am very happy that to see and hear that this school is working together hand-in-hand for the benefit of children’s education.
“It is very important that schools have a library where children can access information and build more knowledge.”
The school also combined a celebration of Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day, Fiji Day, opening of the school’s playground and unveiling of the school’s OHS (Occupation Health and Safety) billboard.
