Nine swimmers have been chosen to represent Fiji in the NSW State Age Group Nationals in Canberra on December 1-17.

The swimmers met the selection criteria to be part of the Development Elite Squad 2016 as required by the Fiji Swimmimng.

The team will go on the opening training camp at the Australian Institute of Sports (AIS) and daily training session with Ginninderra Swim Club in Canberra.

The Development Elite Squad (DES) is Fiji Swimming’s young elites who have earned their place to be part of the long term plans of Fiji Swimming as it gears itself and prepares for the 2019 Pacific Games and, 2020 Olympics.

The selection criteria is very specific and is a document that will see the bar raised each year as we near the 2019 & 2020 respective games. Fiji Swimming acknowledges the Government,  Fijian National Sports Commission for its support in providing the funds to finance its build-up programme towards 2019 Pacific Games & 2020 Olympic Games.
