That one-wheeled, hand-propelled vehicle called the wheelbarrow will soon turn heads on our streets, this time carting people as part of a bigger effort to campaign for a cause.

Frank Hilton Organisation is introducing the ‘Amazing Wheelbarrow Race’, a fundraising that ensures that the organisation continues the services they provide for children with disabilities.

Frank Hilton Organisation is a charitable organisation that provides services to over 250 children with disabilities.

It is the controlling authority for the Hilton Special School, Hilton Early Intervention Centre, Hilton Audiology Unit, Hilton Physiotherapy Unit and Hilton House Hostel.

Apart from part funding through the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Women and Children, the organisation is left to fundraise to maintain the continuity of its services.

The race is also an opportunity for team-bonding for participating teams.

Entrance fee for a team is $5000.

Tomorrow participating teams will gather at the Suva Bowling Club to familiarise themselves with the rules of the race.

The event will take place on November 5.
