Westpac Bank Celebrates Diwali With West Clients

To mark the Diwali celebrations, Westpac Bank hosted a Westpac Hospitality Diwali cocktail for its clients at the Kshatriya Hall in Nadi on Wednesday night.
Bank general manager Brent Hooker said: “Fiji’s vibrant multi cultural society is clearly depicted on Diwali where everybody of all cultures come together to celebrate.
“We were really excited to host it tonight.
“Diwali is the most important event in the Hindu calendar and falls on the darkest night of the year.”
He said during this festival, light was the metaphor of knowledge
“Fiji is truly example of how through knowledge and understanding, ignorance can be dispelled and multiple communities can come together and live together.”
Mr Hooker added that 2016 has been a challenging year across the world.
“At Westpac we stay focused to give great service and great outcome to all our customers.”
He said however this was not possible without their valued customers and committed staff.
“We had a lot to celebrate this year as we celebrated our milestone of 115 years doing business in Fiji and we are all very proud of that milestone.”
A similar cocktail event for the clients based in the capital city will be hosted at the Vodafone Arena on Friday.
