The Fiji Police Force football side aims to field strong team at the 2016 Ratu Sukuna Bowl competition on November 21-24.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Itendra Nair said they have a good pool of players to select from after the two-day inter district competition (IDC) which ends today at Nasova, Suva.

“The competition has been quite fierce and it shows the preparation the teams went through,”he said.

The squad of 30 players will be announced today as the Fiji Police Force aims to defend their title at the annual Sukuna Bowl competition.

Bolstering the side would be district reps  like Labasa goal keeper Akuila Mataisuva and national goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau.

Tamanisau Police Special Response Unit have qualified for the semifinal after beating Southern Two 1-0 and Western Two 2-0.

There will be a new champion crowned today after defending champions Western Two failed to win all their pool games.

The first semi-final will see PSRU taking on Headquarters at 9am and Northern plays Southern Two in the second semi-final at 10:20am.
