Fijians And Aussies Draw

The Zibraaz Shahib-captained Fijian team drew 0-0 with Australia during the FANCA 2016 Muslim World Cup at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday.
The locals put on a brave performance as the visitors also were tough on defence.
The Fijian team was laced with district reps like Edward Justin, Jonetani Buksh, William Valentine, Alfraz Ali and Mohammed Shafim Buksh.
Fijian coach Javed Ahmed said the plan was to win to book a spot in the final.
“We are going to work on the finishing and try and improve our game,” Ahmed said.
Fiji will have to beat Canada to face Australia in the final.
In the other main match, Canada thrashed USA 7-2.
In the Masters category USA proved too strong for New Zealand winning 3-0.
In the Veteran category Australia and New Zealand played to a 1-1. Fiji and Canada also drew 1-1.
Meanwhile, on Friday night Fiji walloped defending champion New Zealand 3-0, while Australia edged Canada 2-1.
