Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday visited Marist Brothers High School in Parramatta, Sydney, Australia.

Mr Bainimarama was invited by the school as a former old scholar of MBHS in Fiji and to also see first-hand how digital learning (e-learning) was being used in the education system.

Mr Bainimarama was briefed by Brother Patrick Howlett before students of the school had the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister.

Brother Howlett informed Mr Bainimarama about the positive influence on students through the use of digital learning, which assists teachers and helps students learn faster through modern technology.

“With iPads and Apple Macbook Pros, students are able to discuss among themselves about a particular projects or subject from wherever they are,” Brother Howlett said.

“This has allowed teachers to teach them and send notes and homework just from the touch of a button.”
