The Fijian Women’s volleyball side are wary of the Cook Islands team in the World Series qualification championship which starts on Monday, next week.

Fijian Women’s coach Basilio Kalokalodromu said while they have played Tonga and Solomon Islands before, Cook Islands is the team they would be watching out for.

“Cook Islands will be a new team for us.

They have a height advantage which is something we will need to counter.”

With just a week to go until the competition starts, Kalokalodromu said preparations have been going well as fitness is their main focus.

“The girls are equally excited about the tournament and have been training really hard.

The Volleyball World Series Qualification championship will be from October 24-29 at the Vodafone Arena, Suva.
