Prime Minister’s Relief Fund Helped By Fijian Business In Australia

The Prime Minister’s National Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation Fund has been boosted by another $10,000.
This was a donation from a Fijian-owned company operating out of Australia – Mesh and Bar Pty Limited.
The cheque was handed over to the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama by the company’s managing director Daksesh Patel at the company’s main office in Glendenning, New South Wales in Australia.
Mr Patel said it was the company’s duty in assisting their fellow countrymen and women.
“It is our moral obligation and we have been inspired by the resilience of our people back home and we can only assist them in building back stronger,” said Mr Patel.
“This contribution is not only on behalf of the company but on behalf of all the staff whom are employed here.”
PM Bainimarama acknowledged the contribution and thanked the company for its assistance in helping Fijians rebuilds their lives.
Mesh and Bar Ltd employs over 300 staff in which one third are Pacific islanders.
