Navosa Keen For A Better Show

The Navosa Under-14 team is hoping to have a better run this year in the Vodafone Fiji Primary Schools Inter-District Championship (IDC) and make it past the pool stages.
Last year, the team failed to reach the knockout stages but coach Roneel Chand said they are willing to work extra hard.
“This year will be tougher compared to last year but we’re up to the challenge,” Chand said.
“We did not do that well last year, we didn’t survive the pool rounds which was a bit disappointing.
“But with the team we have now I am hoping we can make it to the knockout stages.
“The IDC provides the exposure and the drive for the players to achieve something.
“You can see when these boys walk on the field, they push themselves and never give up.
Though the team only had a week to camp together before the tournament, Chand said it was not easy preparing the team.
“One of the major challenges we faced was trying to get the team together because all my players come from the district of Namataku.
“But we eventually made it work because of the approval from the Ministry of Education to camp at the school.”
