No suspects have been questioned by Police in relation to the death of late 30-year-old Mereoni Kalini on Tuesday morning.

Police Spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said there was still no concrete evidence that it was an alleged hit and run accident near Volivoli Village in Sigatoka.

She said: “Any bit of information is welcomed as it could help out investigations.”

She has asked if anyone has any information about a vehicle that may have a damaged bumper or bonnet which may be consistent with damage resulting from a hit and run incident.

The victim of Votua, in Cuvu, was reported dead on the road after 2am.

Police said the victim was wearing a black and red t-shirt with jeans and was last seen around the service station near the Sigatoka roundabout at around midnight with friends.

Ms Naisoro said Police were working around the clock in their investigations.

She said the post mortem examination would determine the victim’s cause of death.
