Seaqaqa Start With A Draw

Vodafone Fiji Primary Schools Inter District Championship (IDC) Under-14 defending champions Seaqaqa started their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Rakiraki at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.
Manager Vilash Nath said it was not the start they expect.
“This was definitely not how we wanted our first game to go but I think the players were not ready,” Nath said.
“The pressure is on us to retain our title but we know that it will not be easy.
“The boys know what is expected of them and they have been training really hard to be here.”
Team captain Tufeal Khan and Malakai Arbaaz scored for Seaqaqa.
“We are proud of the boys and the way they handle themselves,” he said.
Nath said they have already spent over $3000 bringing the team to Viti Levu and has calculated that more money will be spent to look after them for the duration of the tournament.
“While it is good for provide competition at this level, we do face challenges in bringing our teams to perform,” Nath said.
“These boys are from the interior of Vanua Levu so bringing them together to train is very difficult.
“We will be here for three days and it will not be cheap but we are thankful for all the support we have been getting and glad to be here.”
Seaqaqa play Nadroga at 8:30am today with their second game against Savusavu at 12:40pm at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori.
