Ashwin Nand’s team won the Vodafone Golf Classics tournament at the Fiji Golf Club yesterday.

Nand’s team of Ashok Goundar, Satya and Ishwar Nand won the competition with a nett score of 56.12 while the team comprising Mereani Naisara, Sandeep Singh, John Zang Aidong and Roy Ugra finished second with 58.

The team of Tomasi Tuivuna, Graham Venkataya, Tevita Delailiva and Shaun Hwang finished third with a nett score of 58.3.

Darryl Hodson took out the prize for the longest drive.

Elizabeth Bennett won the nearest to pin prize (NTP) on No.2, Agnes Mangreve on No.5 and Sylvia Joe  on No.12.

In the men’s division Jona Dumanu won NTP on No.2,  John Coster on No.5 and Hyung Sun Ra on No.12.

FGC professional Veramu Rokotavaga said the tournament was a success.

“We had 18 teams of four and fine weather. We are looking forward to more tournaments like this in future,” Rokotavaga said.

Meanwhile, FGC will today host the BSP Mervin Low Memorial Trophy tournament and the Juju fundraising tournament tomorrow.
