Carnival Boosts Port Denarau

The Courts Port Denarau Carnival is gaining momentum as the Hub Happening.
Port Denarau Centre Management Limited General Manager Aysha Koya said the monthly event has grown bigger and better since its establishment in May.
She said, “Every month the carnival has increased and grown in attendance, there are more people coming in.”
Ms Koya highlighted that the event had also boosted business in the Denarau retail area.
“It has boost restaurant, retail shops and there is more awareness from the local community.
“Also business houses like Courts and many more are giving out discounts that is affordable for the community at large,” Koya said.
Courts Sales and Marketing Officer Bimlesh Prasad said, “Port Denarau Carnival was birthed with the initiative to bring people from all walks of life together; at one place to wind down and enjoy the friendliness.
“The idea wasn’t confined to the residents of Denarau area only but to engage the extended local communities and folks from other districts to come together to enjoy some fun time,” he said.
Tasty food and savouries are avilable along with Candy floss, pop corns, bouncy castles and Ferris wheel rides.
The day consists of various artist performing dances – classical and contemporary, and from Zumba to Hip-Hop. Cultural entertainers to woo you with fire dance and instrumentals and fashion show.
The next Courts Port Denarau Carnival is on November 19 and December 17.
