Nasinu thrashed Lami 9-0 in the first round of the Vodafone Women’s Senior League at Buckhurst Park yesterday.

But coach Annabel Rao was far from impressed.

“Their performance today was not up to expectations,” she said.

She said majority of our players are students and they could not train because of exams. Our youngest player is 14 years old and she was the one who scored most goals today.”

Rao said the team would have to keep on working hard.

“We have two more league game to go and I hope to see more improvement with the girls. We have a lot of improvement to work on.

In other games, Rewa defeated Navua 7-0 and Suva thrashed Tailevu/Naitasiri 4-0.
