‘King’ Khan retires

Veteran Lautoka slugger Wahid ‘King’ Khan announced his retirement soon after he threw in the towel against upcoming middleweight Tomasi Gaunavou of Suva. Khan struggled to keep up to pace as the younger Gaunavou found his mark with his jabs and thundering hooks.

Former Fijian middleweight champion Abhay Chand handed Franco Frazier his first professional loss by knocking him out in the fourth round. Chand using his experience well timed his hook which caught Frasier flush on the jaw. It was a disappointing night, for Nereo ‘Terminatior’ Cakautini when his opponent Sam Foster of Jittu Boxing Stable failed to show up.

Mudaliar still unbeaten

Stylish bantamweight boxer Sachin Mudaliar maintained his winning run with a first round knockout win over Azmat Mohammed in the 4×3 minutes fight.

Navosa’s Filimoni Taginikula proved too strong for Epeli Naliva by stopping him in the second round. Rahul Pillay scored an easy points win over Ashwin Singh while Ravinesh Sami failed to turn up to fight Samir Ali.
