The Vodafone Fijians extended 7s squad are looking to get the mojo going and kick start preparations for the upcoming Oceania 7s tournament.

These were the sentiments of team manager Rob Kauvesi as the extended squad marched into camp at Pacific Harbour yesterday.

“It will be back to the basics for the 14 players who are in camp today as they start their training,” he said.

“Right now we are going to start with the basics again, it’s a new series and a new start, but we need to get everything right from the start. We have light sessions today and tomorrow is when the fitness test start then we are able to see what their training sessions have been like prior to this one and where the boys are at.”

Kauvesi said he is expecting the entire team to be together by November 9.

Meanwhile, he also indicated that they are getting three new players into the extended squad. They are Kalioni Nasoko of the Yasawa Stingers and Setareki Bituiyata of Uluinakau with the third player from the Police side.
