Vashist Muni College student 16 year old Khusbu Chand from Wainadoi, Navua is one of the two lucky winners who won the Fiji Sun Diwali recipe competition for 2016.

Ms Chand won $500 worth shopping voucher of Fiji Dairy Limited products which was drawn yesterday morning.

Ms Chand’s mother Sushil Mati said it took them two to three days to compile this creative recipe at their home in Wainadoi.

“I helped my daughter out compiling this recipe,” she said. Ms Mati said they were not expecting that her daughter would win this competition.

“This is the first time for us to take part in Diwali competition with Fiji Sun. My daughter was very excited that she was one of the two lucky winners,” Ms Mati said.

For this $500 voucher, Ms Mati said they would give it to the Fiji Society of the Blind.

Ms Mati and her daughter Khusbu wish everyone in Fiji a happy Diwali.

came up with this promotion in a very short time but they were very happy about the response they got.

Mr Maharaj said there were over 300 exciting recipes received not only from women, but also from men and school students.
