4 In Hospital After Head On Collision

Four people were admitted at Nadi Hospital yesterday after they were alleged to be involved in a head on collision in Sabeto, Nadi.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this incident
“The gas vehicle driver is in serious condition at the Nadi Hospital,” Ms Naisoro said.
“It is alleged he tried to overtake at a bend and collided head on with the other vehicle.”
Ms Naisoro said: “The other three occupants of the other vehicle were also rushed to the Nadi Hospital but are not in serious condition.”
Eyewitness Apisalome Savu said “Four people were rushed to the hospital.
“The black car was travelling towards Nadi while the orange coloured vehicle was on its way to Lautoka,” Mr Savu said.
“The orange vehicle went onto the other lane and had a head on collision with the other oncoming vehicle.”
Ms Naisoro said that no one was charged as the drivers were still recovering at the hospital.
Police have yet to identify the cause of the accident and are requesting the public to drive safely and follow simply road safety rules.
