Fijian professional golfer Sam Lee and Abid Hussein took out the Fiji Premium Pro – Am respectively at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club last Saturday.

Lee was in fine form in the two-day competition carding rounds of 72 and 67 for a total of 5 under par 139.

Local professional Bill Suguturaga, Anasa Seruvatu and Waisake Vati were tied at second spot on one under par 145.

Hussein finished in first place in the men’s A grade carding 142, Seruvi Ralulu second  on 152 and Hyung Joo Lee in third spot on 157.

Rising star Ga In Ju won the ladies overall (137) Ji Eun Lee 149 and Ka Eun Lee (166).

Club manager Waisake Rabuli was impressed with the turnout in the Paradise Beverages sponsored event.

“The event attracted a total of 95 golfers including 10 professionals,” he said.

Savir Khan (159) won the B grade. He beat Mark Hinton (165) and Jason Buchs (170).

Mosese Bovoro won the C Grade with a score of 167. Rohit Ram second (176) and Mike Spencer (181).

In the ladies overall net Sulu Brook (144) settled for top spot ahead of Linda Callaghan (147) and Jenice Hinton (148) on countback.

Former South Pacific champion Sala Seniloli-Smith took out the eagle prize on the par four No, 1, a feat last achieved 15 years ago.
