Fatal Accident: Driver In Rakiraki In Court
A man appeared in a special court sitting in Tavua yesterday charged in connection with the deaths of a mother and daughter in a road accident in Rakiraki on Saturday.
Sevanaia Vuladradra, 21, of Serua appeared before Magistrate Samuela Qica.
He is charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death and one count of driving a motor vehicle without a valid driving licence.
Plea was deferred and Magistrate Qica adjourned the case to November 16 when it will be called for mention.
Vuladradra was further remanded.
Dead are Merewai Vunisa Balekolo, and her four-year-old daughter, Verenaisi Vugona.
Meanwhile, Police have charged the regular driver of the vehicle for allowing a non-licensed person to drive.
