Nailaga Crowned Ba Champs

Rooster Poultry’s Nailaga rugby side are crowned champions of the Ba Rugby Union (BRU) competition. They beat Ba River 14-6 in the final at the Ba Market ground last Saturday.
Nailaga rugby captain Sowane Baleirewa said their win is for former teammate Amena Dela, who had passed away last Tuesday.
Dela, 42, was involved in a car accident in Ba on August 28 where he suffered serious injuries.
“Thanks to the boys for a tremendous effort in the victory and we dedicate the win to the late Amena Dela who also donned this jumper during his playing days,” Baleirewa said.
“The win was for him and we are all proud of his achievement in rugby.”
Meanwhile, this Saturday, they take on Vadravadra in the BRU knockout competition.
“The boys are in formidable form and we want continue on winning our matches. It will be tough but we have faith in ourselves and we hope to iron out our mistakes before our next game.”
He also thanked their sponsors FMF, KBL Buses and Rooster Poultry.
