The new Goundar Shipping Limited vessel “Car Ferry” is currently on dry dock in South Korea.

Company managing director George Goundar is in South Korea with Captain Inoke Ratotodro and engineers Manuppan Naidu and Brent Newton.

The new vessel will service the Natuvu,  Vanua Levu to Lovonivonu, Taveuni route twice a day.

According Mr Goundar they were there to survey the new vessel before a staff from Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji (MSAF) arrives to check that changes made were in accordance with MSAF requirements.

He said he wanted the new vessel in operation as soon as it arrived in Fiji.
