Experts Help To Prepare Suva Two

Suva Two have brought in fitness trainer Henry Elder and athletics track coach Bola Tafou to help in their preparation for the FMF Chow Games. Head coach Kemueli Francis said yesterday a few schools have pulled out of the Suva Two zone which has made it hard for them to organise and train athletes.
“We do not have the human resources with us,” he said.
“We only have a few teachers around since most of the schools have pulled out so we have had a few difficulties during training.
“But we have roped in some coaches to help like Henry Elder and Bola Tafou and they have been really good.
“They are not only training our athletes but teaching them the right techniques which will go a long way with them. We have been preparing well, we just started last week and hopefully the kids will get a grasp of the basic skills that we have taught them for all the events.”
Francis said the main aim for Suva Two this year is to not only to win but to expose their athletes.
“We have a lot of athletes taking part which is a good thing for us. Veiuto Primary will provide a very stiff competition for us as well as Marist Brothers but we are going in as underdogs this year.
“We have over 80 athletes this year and we are going for win just like any other school. But we also want to expose these kids and let them have a taste of what competition at this level is like.”
The FMF Chow Games will be from November 18-19 at the ANZ Stadium, Suva.
