Over 72 teams will battle in the annual Fiji Hotel Workers Volleyball tournament at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka on Saturday. The fun-filled tournament is expected to feature various categories like men, women, mix volleyball and mix netball in a one-day event.

Association president/ founder Jack Stark said he is looking forward to another successful tournament.

“Since it first started, it’s fulfilling to see all hotel workers in Fiji meet and forge new friendship,” he said.

“We have teams coming as far as properties from Taveuni, Savusavu, Yasawa, Mamanuca and those in Viti Levu. This shows the popularity of the event which all hotel workers around the country look forward to.

“We are looking forward to having everyone at the Coral Coast and excited to showcase our Bula Spirit. Our hosts have been preparing for this one-day tournament and are looking forward to performing their best. With the bilibili race postponed this year, the hosts at the hotels are excited that this event will be a fantastic one.”

The event will begin with a march through Sigatoka Town to Lawaqa Park and will finish off with a mardi gra at the ground.

Meanwhile, the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort volleyball and mix metball are looking forward to the event as they have fielded four teams.
