More than 150 women will showcase their skills and talents through their products at the Fiji Corrections Service’s annual Officers’ Wives Handicraft Fare, tomorrow at Ratu Sukuna Park in Suva.

The market day is expected to offer varieties of home-made products ranging from beddings, kitchen sets, assorted house ornaments and traditional handicrafts of many kinds.

The event was introduced over 30 years ago to assist wives with the sale of their products especially for those who are unemployed.

President of the Wives Club, Laisani Kulinidilo said people would not be disappointed as they are offering best deals for their items.

“It will be just a day’s event and we are encouraging members of the public to come and check out what we are showcasing,” Mrs Kulinidilo said.

“Most of the products will be sold at reasonable prices compared to what they pay, for the same items, elsewhere.”

She said people should expect a wide range of items as a total of 163 wives from nine institutions have already registered to be part of the event.
