Super Deal For Afa

Fijian Pearls goalshooter Afa Rusivakula joins the Northern Star netball franchise in New Zealand for the Super League Series in January.
Netball Fiji president Wainikiti Bogidrau said this is a big achievement for Rusivakula and Netball Fiji.
“We are excited for her, excited for the lessons she will bring back to Netball Fiji and of course this is part of her preparation for the World Cup 2019,” she said.
“Afa will be the first Fijian player to make the breakthrough at elite level after Vilimaina Davu. Hopefully this is a new beginning for our Fiji Pearls and Afa will pave the way for the other girls and we are excited for her. The Northern Star is under the charge of former Fiji national coach Julie Hoornweg.
Afa teams up with Silver Ferns such as Kayla Cullen, Leana De Bruin and Malia Paseka.”
Rusivakula played in the 2011, 2015 World Cups since making her international debut in 2010. She was also part of the U21 team that toured to Scotland in 2013.
