Farmer Stolz Wins New Toyota Hilux

Esther Stolz spends at least $200 on transport expenses to deliver her farm produce to Naqara market in Taveuni every week.
As of yesterday the 52-year-old farmer will drive her new Toyota Hilux to sell her produce. Ms Stolz won herself the new vehicle after winning the Vodafone Friendly North Carnival Text Promotion.
She thanked Vodafone and Asco Motors for what she also believed was an early birthday present.
“I just used $2 to take part in the promotion and with a leap faith, I won it,” Ms Stolz said.
“It was unbelievable at first when they told me the news but than my prayers had been answered because for a very long time I had been in need for a vehicle to assist me with the delivery of my farm produces to the market.”
Her main source of income was farming, which allowed her to send her seven children to school.
“I am encouraging everyone to participate in these kinds of promotions, you just don’t know maybe you might win it,” she said.
“I usually spend around $65 every day to hire a truck to deliver my farm produce to the market, which will take around more than an hour to reach the market.
“But now I will use my new vehicle to deliver the farm produces to the market.”
