A grandmother’s love to have the best and healthy cooked meal for her family is what drives 62-year-old Senimili Bau to shop at MH supermarket, Nadi town.

Originally from Namotomoto village in Nadi, Senimili is part of a family of six which includes her grandchildren.

“I love to shop here because the food is kept neatly while the vegetables and fruits are fresh compared to other supermarkets. When they have sale they really do mean it,” she said.

“Also the price is reasonable and affordable and the quality of the goods sold is excellent.”

The retired Tourism Industry worker of Sheraton Fiji Resort does her shopping once in a week on Thursday. Often she is accompanied by her grandchildren after picking them up from school every afternoon.

She shops every Thursday with her shopping list and she   makes sure she sticks to that.

Another reason why she enjoys shopping is that it is an opportune time for her to be with her grandchildren as they usually choose what to buy for their school lunch.

Ms Senimili also buys fruits and vegetable from the supermarket.

According to Ms Senimili for every week, the family keeps aside $150 for shopping.

She says her grandchildren always have a say in what to be included in the shopping list.

Her favourite dish is chopsuey chicken and she loves preparing for her grandchildren too.
