Seven New Reps For Oceania 7s

The Fiji Rugby Union yesterday released the Vodafone Fijian 7s team to prepare for the 2016 Oceania 7s tournament
The tournament will be held at the ANZ Stadium in Suva next week and fans will get the chance to watch and cheer for them on home ground.
Seven new players have forced their way into the selected side and FRU chief executive officer John O’Connor said this shows the immense pool of talent in Fiji.
“Even though we have some 7s players that are currently overseas there is still a huge pool of talent available here in Fiji,”O’Connor said.
“I’m happy that we have been able to identify these players and bring them into camp to prepare them for the Oceania 7s.
“They have shown a lot of progress in the two weeks of camp which proves their selection into the team. I would like to congratulate them on their selection and wish them all the best for the Oceania 7s next weekend.”
The men’s competition will comprise 10 teams which are Australia, Samoa, Tonga, PNG, Cook Islands, Solomon Islands, American Samoa, Nauru, New Caledonia and hosts Fiji. They will play in two-round robin pools with finalists determined on the pool play results.
